Preliminary Round II:
Informative Speech / Case Study
This round will test the participants’ critical thinking skill. Participants will be given a case study by the committee supported with some of the articles from the references of other sources. Participants are required to summarize the case study and create a speech out of it.
Specific rules:

The case study will be determined by the committee.

Participants will have exactly twenty minutes to prepare the speech in the quarantine room.

The participants will be provided some notes by the committee to write down the materials while preparing in the quarantine room.

The participants should not bring and read the text, but small outline paper (mini notes) is allowed while performing. The mini note will be provided by the committee.

Before being called to the stage, the other participants are not allowed to leave the quarantine room by any reason and should not use any gadget to prepare the speech and communicate with the people outside.

The participant who has performed are allowed to watch the other participants on the stage, but not allowed to come to quarantine room.

The performing time shall be five to seven minutes in length.

Participant who speaks less than 5 minutes or more than 7 minutes will get deduction points.

There will be a sign showed to the performing participant

GREEN card: the time left for contestants is half of the maximum time.

YELLOW card: 30 seconds before the maximum time runs out.

RED card: time is over and contestants have to stop.
